Inmates “R” Us provides you with access to this Web site and the informational services available on this Web site. Access to and use of the Services is governed by the Terms of Use. By accessing or using the services, you indicate your assent to be bound by the Agreement, and your acknowledgment of and agreement to its terms. While we make every effort to post accurate information, we can not guarantee that all information posted for pen pals is factual. All profile information is supplied by the subscriber (inmate) either directly or through a third party (family member, friend or loved one). With this being the case you take upon yourself certain responsibilities to safeguard yourself when corresponding with incarcerated persons you find by use of Prison Inmate Penpal.
Authorized User
Users of the services provided by Inmates “R” Us must be at least 18 years of age. While we are providers of inmate profiles, we are not however the publishers of the advertising content provided by the inmate subscriber. The inmate subscriber holds all copyright to their posted information and as such is liable for any information they may submit to Inmates “R” Us. Potential public pen pals (visitors to Inmates “R” Us who elect to use our service) are encouraged to verify the information contained in an inmate profile prior to corresponding with them. This can be done by using the DOC (Department of Corrections) or by you (the end user) contacting the Department of Corrections where the inmate is located directly.
Misuse of service
Inmate Scams – The most common inmate scam pertains to fabricating an incident or event in which they need money to remedy. Once they have made their situation known, they may ask you for financial assistance. As with any relationship, use your best judgment. If something seems suspicious, then make your decision to continue as a pen pal and/or to contribute to the financial request accordingly. While this is not generally a common occurrence, it does and will happen on the occasion.
Harassment – If you have initiated penal relationship with an inmate, then at a point choose to end the relationship and correspondence with the inmate and they choose to harass you by mail or by other means, it should be reported. Your first action should be to report the harassment to the Department of Corrections where the inmate is located. Once this has been done you should report it to Prison Inmate Penpal here.
Unsolicited Mail – While most Departments of Correction encourage correspondence with inmates they do not condone unsolicited mail (especially commercial or advertorial mailings) received as a result of the prisoners being listed on Prison Inmate Penpal. All correspondence should be on a personal level with the consent of both parties. Solicitation of prisoners is strictly prohibited by all State and Federal Correctional Facilities. This website is designed to connect prisoners with people on the outside where both parties seek friendship or the desire to pursue a relationship. Violators who elect to disregard the Terms and Policies of Prison Inmate Penpal, and the laws and regulations of the Department of Corrections will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. This website connects inmates with personal assistant services.
Illegal Activity – If you or an inmate abuse the trust of our services , we will assist in any investigation if questioned. You will be banned from our service, and so will the inmate.

The services are provided “AS IS,” without guarantee or warranty of any kind. Inmates “R” Us  disclaims any warranties, express or implied, including any warranties of title, non-infringement, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limited Liability
NEITHER INMATES “R” US, NOR ANY OF ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, AGENTS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, SUCCESSORS, ASSIGNS, CONTENT PROVIDERS OR SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR ATTORNEY FEES ARISING OUT OF USE OF THE SERVICES, OR INABILITY TO GAIN ACCESS TO OR USE THE SERVICES. INMATES “R” US WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY MATERIAL OF WEB SITES IT LINKS TO AS PART OF THE SERVICES OR FOR INFORMATION CONTAINED IN OR PART OF THE SERVICES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO SEARCH RESULTS. BECAUSE SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
