Born in rough streets of Baltimore City. Grew up in the heart of Parkheights. Raised with two sisters, I’m the oldest of the three. Never had a relationship with my father. It was apparent that he didn’t want anything to do with me, so growing up I always had a trust issues even with my mother. Trust and loyalty are essential for me. Have three teen boys, all different mothers. My children are my number one supporters, without them this incarceration would not have been possible. They are my foundation for life. Charged, arrested and found guilty for rape. My co-defendant was allegedly responsible for the crime, but the stat’s attorney severed our case and ask the courts for a aiding and abutting jury instruction. My co-defendant trial was set to go first but due to family issues it was postponed. My trial was set and D.N.A evidence excluded me as a contributor to the rape but not the co-defendant. The lead detective in our trials coerce me into making a statement that was self incriminating. Co-defendant set for trial and was acquitted for the rape. That lead detective in our case is now being investigated for planting evidence, perjury, corruption and fraud. This judicial system is flawed and countless black men are innocent and held captured by the justice system.
